Support This Work
Support this work to extend its reach and bring better responses to harm to more healthcare organizations.
Our work focuses on reducing suffering and supporting healing for patients, families, and clinicians alike.
A mission-driven nonprofit
Every dollar we earn is reinvested into programs, research, and innovation that improve how healthcare responds to harm.
The Center for Harm Response is supported by the experts at the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality and the University of Washington.
Our programs are designed to sustain themselves through participation fees. But expanding access to this work—especially for safety-net and resource-limited organizations—requires additional support.
Proven Experience Across Healthcare Systems
We’ve worked with healthcare organizations across the country to strengthen how they respond to harm.

The work being done through PACT to advance the scholarship and science of how healthcare organizations respond after harm is critically important to the field and to improving care. PACT provides actionable resources and networking opportunities to learn from others, helping to accelerate and advance organizational response efforts.

Expanding the Impact
But many organizations don’t yet have access to this kind of support.
- Reach more healthcare systems
- Expand training and tools
- Support broader adoption of Communication and Resolution Programs
- Help make this approach the standard, not the exception
